The latest research once again indicates that there is no link between testosterone therapy and heart disease.
A recent multi-year study, put out by researchers just before the end of 2016, found that testosterone therapy actually helped elderly men with low testosterone levels and pre-existing coronary artery disease, reduce their risks of major cardiovascular events — including strokes, heart attacks, and death.
The study was prepared by the Intermountain Medical Center research team, and presented at the American College of Cardiology’s 65th Annual Scientific Session. The “meta-analysis,” of men who had already suffered a previous heart attack, or were diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, found that those who were on testosterone therapy did much better moving forward, then those who were not. 80% of the men in the study who were not on testosterone, had an adverse cardiovascular event!
For many years, despite an overabundance of evidence to the contrary, it has been said that testosterone replacement therapy could increase the risk of heart disease.
Get ready to supercharge your life!
Not only have many recent studies debunked this commonly held misconception, the latest research in this and similar studies, suggests that testosterone replacement therapy can actually decrease a man’s risk of heart attack.
What Is Testosterone and Why is it Important?
Testosterone is the major male hormone or androgen. As such it is responsible for all of the characteristics we consider male –facial hair, deeper voice, larger muscles, etc. As a man gets older, your ability to produce testosterone decreases.
With this decrease, many of the things we think of as “ageing,” such as: fatigue, loss of muscle tone, weight gain, and sexual performance issues occur. What you think of as “just getting older,” may really be the impact of low testosterone, also known as “Low-T.”
Other benefits of Testosterone Optimization
In addition to possibly lowering your risk of a heart attack, there are many more benefits to testosterone optimization through testosterone replacement therapy.
Testosterone replacement has been shown to:
- Make you feel stronger and improve stamina
- Improve sexual performance and increase libido
- Help you focus more and think more clearly
- Increase muscle mass and strengthen your bones
- Fight depression and anxiety, improve your moods
- Help you sleep better
- Renew vitality, and help you to look, and feel like a “new man”
If you are a man over 35, and just feel like you are losing your edge, testosterone optimization may help. However, the only way to find out if testosterone replacement therapy is right for you, is to see a qualified doctor.
