Heart Disease and Erectile Dysfunction

Heart Disease and Erectile Dysfunction

Did you know that if you have heart disease you are at much greater risk of erectile dysfunction or ED? If you are not aware of this link you are not alone.

A recent study conducted in Poland found that most men surveyed had no idea that cardiovascular disease is actually one of the leading causes of ED.

Both ED and heart disease are really circulatory problems, so this link has been long known by medical professionals. In this particular study, which was published just before the close of 2015, 500 men with atherosclerosis– or hardening of the arteries were studied.

Men with atherosclerosis have restricted blood flow to the heart due to plaque or fatty deposits that build up in the coronary arteries. This is the type of heart disease that is most often linked to erectile dysfunction.

The researchers found that almost 40% of the men in the study had no idea that their heart disease contributed to their sexual wellness issues. Most believed it was just a function of “growing old,” or caused by “Low Testosterone.” While low testosterone or Low-T, can contribute to ED, in men with heart disease, ED is more likely caused by the heart disease, or by the same poor lifestyle choices that contribute to their heart disease.

Most of the men in the study did not realize that either. For example, they told researchers that they did not know that they could reduce their ED symptoms by quitting smoking, losing weight or exercising more often.

How Does Heart Disease Link to ED?

heart disease and EDThis latest research once again points out the definitive link between heart disease and erectile dysfunction. Statistically speaking, men with heart trouble are much more likely to suffer from ED than men without cardiovascular disease.

The converse is also true. Men experiencing ED, are also far more likely to develop heart disease. The link is because both healthy heart function, and good erectile function, depend on good circulation and healthy blood flow.

The most common type of cardiovascular disease is ischemic heart disease. This is the kind of heart disease associated with lack of good blood flow and proper oxygenation of the heart muscle.

Atherosclerosis is a form of ischemic heart disease. The same plaque that builds up in the coronary artery walls, blocking blood flow to the heart, can also impair blood flow to the penis. Good blood flow is essential to erectile function.

ED Treatments That Can Improve Blood Flow

You cannot get an erection if the blood vessels in erectile tissue cannot fill properly with blood. Most oral ED medication such as Viagra all work by improving blood flow.

But, the problem is, such drugs are not recommended for many of the men who need them most! Men with high blood pressure, or taking medications for heart disease, are warned NOT to use Viagra, or similar oral ED medications.

Does that mean men with heart disease and ED need to accept the condition, and give up on sex? Hardly.

First of all, as indicated in the Polish survey, such men should be encouraged to make lifestyle changes that could reduce their risks of both cardiovascular disease and ED. That means getting more exercise, and eating a diet designed to reduce cholesterol and lower your blood pressure.

If lifestyle changes are not enough, there is a remarkable procedure available that has been proven to improve blood flow to the penis. It is called the Gains Enhancement.

heart disease and ED - try Gains enhancementThe Gains Enhancement is an all-natural, drug-free medical procedure that improves blood flow. It is an ideal treatment for men with cardiovascular disease, because instead of drugs like Viagra, it uses your own blood to cure ED.

The Gains Enhancement uses Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP. PRP is made by taking a small sample of your own blood. Using a specialized process, PRP concentrates stem cells and growth factors into the Gains Enhancement. When the Gains Enhancement is delivered to erectile tissue in a pain free injection, these growth factors immediately improve blood flow to the penis.

PRP also stimulates the growth of new cells. Because of these two effects – improved blood flow, and growth of new tissue — the Gains Enhancement is not only for men with heart disease!

Any man suffering from ED who would like an alternative to oral ED medications, can benefit from the Gains Enhancement.

Here is something else you need to know about the Gains Enhancement. Since it uses PRP, it is one of the only pain free, non-surgical ED treatment that can also increase the length and width of your penis!
